National drug and alcohol treatment waiting timesSince April 2004 the National Drug Treatment Waiting Times Database has collected information on the number of clients seen and the length of time they waited to be seen for various interventions. The Scottish Government has introduced a HEAT target for Drug Waiting Times from April 2010 and this was expanded to include Alcohol Waiting Times from April 2011. The HEAT target will measure the waiting times from the time a referral is received by a service until the client starts treatment. ISD has developed a new system which allows submission of data securely to ISD over the web, and will be fully rolled out by 1st April 2011. The new database will also have the facility for services to upload data extracted from local systems. The documents and reports show the latest available figures and provide guidance for Alcohol and Drug Partnerships and local agencies to monitor waiting times for drug treatment and care in Scotland. Further information on drug and alcohol treatment waiting times can be found in the following documents:- Recalculation
