(1)  Some of the figures differ slightly from HM Revenue and Customs' own figures because of differences in the treatment  of information, mainly revisions to weights, which became available after publication.
(2)  HM Revenue and Customs data is not comparable with previous publications as data representing seizures earlier than 2000/2001 as the system used (DCIS) was only seen to be the standard repository of seizure data
nationally from 1999/2000 onwards. Seizures from joint operations involving HM Revenue and Customs and the police are generally recorded against HM Revenue and Customs.
(3)  Drugs are seized in a variety of forms but where possible, for the purpose of this table, amounts have been converted to weights (kg).  Seizures of LSD and MDMA are given in doses.
Seizures of unspecified quantities are not included.
(4)  Thousands of doses.

[1]
RDS:
All converted grams to doses by dividing the figures for grams by 1000 and then multiplying by 4000 as 1kg=4000 doeses.
